Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Augusta, GA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,985 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 16 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Augusta, Georgia, 30901! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year of nursing experience. - Previous charge experience preferred. - Patient ratio experience required. - Telemetry and cardiac telemetry skills. - Neuro stepdown and intermediate care unit experience. - Ability to manage vasoactive drips and administer insulin drips. - Proficient in central line and peripheral line care. Description: This position is for a registered nurse in the Progressive Care Unit. The patient population includes adolescents to geriatrics. The role involves mixed medical-surgical and telemetry assignments. Nurses will care for patients requiring cardiac and neuro monitoring. The unit has a high staffing ratio of 1:4-5. Staffing could be all PCU, all medical-surgical, or a mix based on patient acuity. Nurses must be adept at titrating cardiac drips and managing various respiratory needs. Expect to work every other weekend unless otherwise specified. Floating within the facility may be required as needed. If one major holiday occurs during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays occur, both are required. For three major holidays, two of the holidays must be worked. Full compliance with all job requirements is necessary to start on time.
