Job Description Job Description Senior Financial Accountant Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid) Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) Type: 9-month contract Compensation: $45-$55/hour (DOE) Job Summary Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Financial Accountant to support financial accounting and reporting activities with a strong emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and timely close. This role is ideal for a hands-on accountant with solid GAAP knowledge who enjoys working across teams and contributing to reliable financial reporting. CPA is not required. Key Responsibilities Support month-end and quarter-end close processes Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial schedules Ensure financial records are accurate and compliant with GAAP Assist with preparation of internal and external financial statements Perform balance sheet and income statement analysis; investigate variances Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries Collaborate with FP&A and Finance partners to ensure accurate reporting Assist with process improvements, controls, and documentation Support ad hoc accounting projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5-8 years of financial or general ledger accounting experience CPA not required Strong understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar preferred) Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Nice to Have Experience with financial reporting in a corporate environment Prior contract or project-based accounting experience Exposure to system implementations or reporting enhancements Benefits: LHH Recruitment Solutions benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
