Position Type: Middle School Teaching/Language ArtsDate Posted: 5/3/2022Location: Brewer Middle SchoolClosing Date: Open until filledMiddle Level Language Arts Teacher - ACTS Magnet School 2022-2023 School Year POSITION: MIDDLE SCHOOL MAGNET SCHOOL LANGUAGE ARTS TEACHING POSITION 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR REQUIREMENTS: Valid SC certification in Middle School Language Arts Must have secondary certification (to teach Honors English I) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Gifted and Talented Endorsement (If the candidate does not currently have GT Endorsement, the candidate must complete the requirements for the endorsment within one year.) Middle School certification At least 5 years of Middle School teaching experience CONTRACT: 190 days SALARY: Teacher salary scale, based on degree and experience DUTIES: Plan for and provide rigorous, accelerated instruction to state identified academically and/or artistically gifted and talented students Collaborate with core content and fine arts teachers to provide students with opportunities in accelerated learning in an arts integrated environment Monitor the students' progress and performance throughout the year Assist in after-school activities, performances, and productions Participate in additional training and professional development APPLY: Review of applications will begin immediately until position is filled.
