Position Summary: Process engineers at the Kimberly Clark, Beech Island facility provide leadership and execution in solving daily safety, productivity, cost and quality issues to meet business objectives. In addition, process engineers establish continuous improvement plans to address chronic longer-term issues and advance the capability of the assets. Process engineers work cross functionally with the Staff Research & Engineering teams to develop and implement new products or asset improvement projects

Currently, we are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join the CTEC TM & Converting team in Beech Island, SC. This role has a significant focus on improvement projects/capital projects as well as, providing coaching/guidance to the other Process Engineers in the department. The individual will report to the CTEC Engineering Manager.


---Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner. Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines. Provide for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance, and other personnel.

---Lead conformance to Quality FPS, review results and initiates programs to reduce variability to meet quality scorecard metrics.

---Drive improvement in speed, waste and delay per asset objectives as well as, provide guidance to the asset Process Engineers in preparation and execution of Annual Planning Workshops and glidepath development.

---Lead Process Engineering related project management and execution actives such as Process Checkouts & Startup for small to very large capital projects.

---Identify & implement cost savings opportunities and manage expense spending to unit budget limits.

---Lead and support the Operations teams in trouble shooting and Problem Solving.

---Provide coaching to develop knowledge and skills in leadership of the application of engineering principles, scientific analysis, and project management of the other Process Engineers in the department.

Share knowledge with the crews, maintenance and other engineers.

---Develop and incorporate best practices to optimize key outputs.

---Identify complex technical issues and provide necessary solutions to determine root cause.

---Effectively and positively interface with inter-mill departments, staff LCM Process team, and staff Capital Execution teams. Basic Qualifications: ---Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemical or Pulp & Paper Engineering from an accredited college or university.

---Requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in a variety of technical or operational assignments in a manufacturing environment.

---Strong experience using manufacturing analysis tools, such as: statistical process control, design of experiments, process capability studies, Six Sigma and lean manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications:

---Specific, in depth technical knowledge and expertise in Tissue manufacturing and Converting processes.

---Strong demonstrated skills and experience with machine installations, checkouts, startups, and new product launches for both smaller and larger projects.
