EQUIVALENTEXPERIENCE
JOB SUMMARY:Employee will work on projects assigned by the Engineering Group Leader and will be involved with the day-to-day activities in the stockroom, shipping, and assembly areas. The employee will work to create or improve the design of new and existing tooling and equipment from concept to implementation. They will also be involved in the troubleshooting of production processes, testing, operation, and maintenance of equipment, tools, and industrial machinery. As Assembly Manufacturing Engineer, YOU WILL:

  • Design/build pneumatic pressure test equipment, and Assembly tooling/fixturing for Valve, and Air Cylinder / Motion Control products.
  • Work "hands on" with assembly operations in the production of fluid and pneumatic control products, and valve products used with air, water, compressed liquids, and gases.
  • Responsible for problem solving and troubleshooting within the Valve and Actuator assembly departments, including pneumatic, electronic, and PLC controlled test equipment.
  • Support of product assembly, including root cause analysis thru troubleshooting processes of component assembly and testing.
  • Support new product development, pilot runs and product launches, and existing product localization and development of work cells.
  • Validation of assembly procedures and product performance. Lead/create PFMEA, Process Flow Charts, Assembly Procedures.
  • Use appropriate systems to document change approvals when required.
  • Test products and verify level of compliance using either laboratory or production equipment while supporting activities related to customer returns and corrective actions.
  • Use of Oracle software, AutoCAD and CREO 3D CAD Modeling, and Office 365.
  • Implementation of Perfect Execution, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing practices. Support/lead cost reduction projects.
  • Obey all safety rules and stop work if continuing is unsafe or will create an unsafe condition. Report all safety concerns immediately.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by Group Leader.
    REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
    • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related degree.
    • Five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Experience with mechanical and electrical components, and industrial engineering applications
    • Experience with using CREOPREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
      • Experience with using AutoCAD
      • Knowledge of PLC's and the ability to create programs/troubleshoot PLC's
      • Understanding of tooling, machining, and equipment building principles
      • Knowledge of basic electricity, hydraulics, and pneumatics
      • Knowledge of manufacturing assembly equipment and ability to troubleshoot using root cause analysis
