Ingevity!This position will work independently and on project teams
to improve process efficiency, reliability & quality using tools
common to lean, and operationalexcellence methodologies in discrete
manufacturing. The position works incooperation with the production
team to help achieve operational excellence in all facets of the
operation while demonstrating the Ingevity core behaviors of
stewardship, performance excellence, innovative spirit, respect for
theindividual, and teamwork.How you will impact Ingevity:Support
plant safety program by including safety activities in all aspects
of the job. Take an active or lead role in safety activities such
as safety teams, incident investigations, or safety
subcommittees.Use statistical data and various lean tools and
practices to drive the development and implementation of projects
to sustainably improve the quality of parts produced by the
facility as well as the efficiency and reliability of processes
used to generate those parts.Work with area engineers to improve
existing systems and processes using the principles of six sigma,
lean manufacturing, kaizen, or operational excellence.Lead teams on
the plant floor to drive improvement.Drive the process toward
sustained profitability while maintaining the highest standards of
safety and quality.Prepare reports with improvement recommendations
by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data. Maintain
documentation (e.g., work instructions) and records required for
changes or improvements, such as management of change and
pre-production process.Analyze failure, success, and ensure that
sustainable and effective corrective and preventative action is
taken to respond to plant concerns and customer complaints.What you
need to succeed:3+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment
required with demonstrated experience in defect reduction and/or
process yield improvement.Required B.S. in Industrial, Chemical,
Materials, or Mechanical Engineering.Experience in lean
manufacturing practices, such as six sigma (green belt or
equivalent preferred), kaizen , statistical process control
required.Incumbent must have strong communication skills and be
able to work in a team-oriented atmosphere.Microsoft Office
applications required.Minitab or equivalent statistical tool
preferred.This position is eligible for relocation assistance.This
