Job Description:

The ideal candidate possesses both a high level of technical expertise and an innate passion to design to build. Responsibilities

  • The Degate & Blast Assembly manufacturing engineer is responsible for designing,
  • Implementing and reviewing the procedures of equipment involved in the manufacturing process and training through standard work and one-on-one development.
  • Their duties included defining the process and means of building part number specific cores, determining the cost and time study for assembly, detailed documentation of the process, designing improvements to the overall process of making cores , testing new systems for efficiency and planning factory layouts to optimize production
  • Prepare reports summarizing information or trends related to manufacturing performance & cost of core make
  • Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes
  • Supervise technicians, technologists, analysts, administrative staff, or other engineers
  • Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing
  • Prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures.; will be working every other weekend- overtime required
    • A Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineer minimum; 8-10 years experience
      • Creo and AutoCAD
      • Ability to work well under pressure
      • Good information technology skills
      • Commercial awareness
      • Knowledge of equipment for purchase, installation and repair
      • Sand core making process for sand castings
