Virtual position for the qualified candidate, with travel, as
required. Candidates local to Jackson, South Carolina will be
preferred.

National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Our organization

We are delivering agile and innovative customer-driven solutions to
DOE-NNSA at the Savannah River Site, Jackson, South Carolina
Our organization has been NNSA's trusted advisor for more than
10-years on some of the country's most complex and critical design
and construction projects. Parsons was recently awarded a third
5-year contract to continue our services to NNSA. You will be part
of a diverse and engaged team continuing our services for NNSA at
Savannah River Site, near Jackson, SC, to support an $11-billion
project portfolio of infrastructure upgrades, including the design,
fabrication, construction, and commissioning of the Savannah River
Plutonium Processing Facility.
Parsons supports NNSA Federal Project Directors with technical
advice, innovative or alternate approaches, and oversight of
contractor and supplier quality performance in the areas of design,
procurement, construction, commissioning, monitoring, and
reporting.
Parsons is searching for motivated candidates for an assignment in
Aiken, South Carolina who would like to expand their experience
while engaging in these capabilities:
Chemical or Mechanical Engineer with Bachelors' or Masters'
degree
Minimum 15 years of experience with mechanical/process
engineering
Minimum 10 years of experience on DOE/NNSA projects
Experienced in, but not limited to, Modular Laboratory Design
(e.g., gloveboxes), Analytical/Radiological Chemistry, Material
Handling, Process, Mechanical and Analytical Equipment
Experience in fabrication and procurement of specialized
equipment
Knowledgeable in the use and interpretation of DOE Orders (O) and
Standards (STD), especially DOE O 422.1/458.1 and DOE-STD-1020,
-1066, -1098, -1128, -1189, and -3024
Understanding of Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), especially 10
CFR 10/835; 29 CFR 1910
Able to comprehend ASHRAE Handbook Section 2-4; ANSI, AWS, IEEE,
ISA and NFPA, codes and standards
Knowledge of American Glovebox Society (AGS) standards will be a
plus.
Attend meetings and workshops to oversee the progress made towards
design milestones and proactively identify/distill issues and
communicate to senior engineering management
Able to assess and comprehend engineering design activities across
multiple disciplines and present actionable weekly reports to
senior engineering management
Strong analytical and reporting skills
Working knowledge of Creo Parametric 3D Modeling Software and
Navisworks 3D Viewer or Autodesk Revit
US Citizenship is required. Active security clearance is preferred,
but not required to start. Successful applicants will be submitted
for a national security clearance.
Savannah River staff also support work throughout the DOE Complex
and your expertise will be invaluable to priority missions
supporting the Nations' Nuclear Security Enterprise.

Salary Range:
$81,500.00 - $142,600.00
