The Role at a Glance
Lincoln Financial group is looking for a security focused
automation and network security engineer. This position is
primarily responsible for providing Security Orchestration and
Automated Response (SOAR) capabilities for our Cyber Security
Investigations and Response activities along with managing Secure
Web Gateway (SWG). They will work closely with incident responders
to automate incident detection and response functions enabling
enrichment and automated remediation and detection of security
threats. They will actively contribute to strategy of minimizing
time to detect and respond to security incidents and events,
minimizing exposure time leveraging automation techniques.
What you'll be doing
Manage the day-to-day operations for the SOAR platform and support
incident responders.
Building and testing of tools and scripts in Python to integrate
with security tools including but not limited to content delivery
networks, WAF, IPS, endpoint detection and response, security
information and event management, and software development
tools.
Maintain and support Incident Response case management and
automated response (SOAR) platform.
Work in partnership with security engineers, security response and
investigations, cloud security, infrastructure, and cloud
development teams to drive improvements to security
requirements.
Translating requirements of security incident responders into cost
effective, efficient, and reasonable technical designs leveraging
cloud first strategy.
Provide thought leadership in the design and implementation of
technical controls to ensure consistent quality and delivery of
Cyber Security services in a team environment.
Provide engineering support and solutions to manage the enterprise
Secure Web Gateway
What we're looking for
Four-year undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent
technical degree.
Minimum two to three years of Python experience.
Minimum one year experience with AWS (API Gateway, Lambda,
EKS).
Demonstrated experience with cloud infrastructure and networking in
AWS and/or Azure.
Familiarity with databases (relational/non-relational), especially
MongoDB.
Experience in deploying, configuring, monitoring, and
troubleshooting Secure Web Gateway.
Good working knowledge and experience in Networking principles such
as routing, switching, DNS, IP addressing schemes.
Ability to analyze and dissect packets to troubleshoot issues and
conduct end-to-end traffic analysis.

Pay Range: $75,701 - $140,700
Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors
including but not limited to work experience, education, location,
licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for
the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total
rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be
eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary
and based on the performance of the company, business unit and
individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales
incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.
