manufacturing industries. The primary objective of a Major Spares &
Mechanical Planner is to improve plant reliability and efficiency
through planning, coordinating, and maintaining mechanical assets
identified as major and/or capital spares based on criticality and
other qualifying factors. Responsibilities Develop and maintain an
equipment/asset database to manage Major Spares. Database
information to include but not limited to documenting: Equipment
identifiers: asset numbers, item descriptions, item store stock
numbers. Equipment Storage and/or Repair Location Information: Ship
and Track High Priority equipment (Turbo Rotors, Bearings/Seal
Kits, Turbo couplings, Compressors, Blowers, Gearboxes, Trunnions,
Torque Converters, Valves, Motors, Pumps, Etc.) Provide information
to management of the location/status of the equipment monthly. o
Equipment History File Documentation: Develop and maintain
equipment files and procedures to ensure up-to-date reference
materials when planning future jobs. Maintain the Major Spares
project structure in Oracle EAM. Document repair status updates,
previous repair dates, in-depth repair scope and repair vendor
details. Document life cycles of spares. o Cost Tracking and
estimating: Provide estimated repair or replacement costs for
budgeting. Track and Document spares spending. Provide spend
analysis and reporting for spares. Forecast expected spend to align
with 5-year budgeting plan. Develop and maintain inspection job
plan templates and data packages for each piece of critical
equipment suitable for modification to suit lesser inspections
(bearings, seals, couplings, etc.) Perform and/or assist with
reliability walk-throughs and inspections. Responsible for
establishing and maintaining professional partnership with vendors
Contractor/Vendor to facilitate customer needs. Research and
provide vendors with all information needed to provide accurate
proposals. Initiate purchase requisitions for materials, parts, and
equipment required on approved work orders within corporate
authorization limits. Write SSA's for new parts and existing
equipment as necessary. Delete old/obsolete parts and equipment to
ensure correct parts are being used. Provide Management with
Capital Spare equipment needing repairs on a periodic basis. Attend
Turbomachinery conferences such as the Pump and Turbomachinery
Symposium, as requested. Plan Capital Spare and Mechanical work
orders for routine work, normal outages, and turnarounds. Review
each work order to ensure the proper information has been supplied
by the originator. Discusses the work order with maintenance and
operations to fully define the scope of work. Consults with
engineering, safety, or other technical departments when
specialized advice is required. Obtains necessary approval for
specialized items. Plans maintenance work orders to develop the job
sequencing by identifying the basic steps and associated resources.
Included in the plan will be required materials, tools, and
equipment for the craftsman to complete the task with minimal
interruptions. Estimates each step of the plan and estimates the
materials required for completion of the task. Issue material
requisitions for obtaining the needed materials. Benchmark work
orders so that the best job plan is included in future asset
activities. Attends the weekly Planner Meeting to stay-up to date
with onsite Planning efforts. Job Skill Requirements Qualifications
Microsoft 0365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Sharepoint, Edge),
Oracle EAM, Viziya Scheduler High School Graduate (Additional
formal education desired) Have good planning and organizational
skills and possess proactive beliefs. Must be able to work in team
environments to drive change and continuous improvement performance
throughout the organization. Must have strong communication skills,
with tact and diplomacy while able to demonstrate superior active
listening skills. Must establish relationships and address conflict
through appropriate resolution skills and techniques. Competent
working in cross-functional and multi-task environments. Ability to
prioritize and organize multiple tasks; provide timely responses
and manage time appropriately. Willingness to train others in
Scheduling related functions. Willingness to work on Continuous
Improvement aspects of Scheduling. Qualifications Required for this
Position: Education : No minimum requirement Experience : Minimum 4
years in industrial planning and scheduling Certifications/Licenses
