Title: Southeast Territory Manager
Description: A remote position responsible for the management of all distributor/sales activities in the Southeast Region.
Southeast Region: North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida
Territory Manager Duties:

  • Plan, organize, and conduct sales meetings with brand distributors
  • Develop a strong understanding of the truck equipment industry and channels of distribution to help maximize sales
  • Learn product details in depth
  • - Develop annual business plans in conjunction with the National Sales Manager to focus on meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  • Participate in distributor open houses and regional/national shows
  • Work with key end-users and fleets to generate business with distributors
  • Responsible for training distributor sales representatives
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Keep accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within the assigned territory, including the use of CRM system software
  • Organize and file expense records and receipts
  • Participate and contribute in Tommy Gate training programs
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of brand customers and market dynamics
    Required Skills/Attributes:
    • Technical selling skills
    • Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills
    • Mechanical aptitude
    • Ability to interact effectively and constructively with business owners and decision-makers as well as installers and service managers
    • Commercial vehicle sales industry experience preferred.
    • Ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees
    • Ability to organize, plan, and work a given territory
    • Ability to achieve sales quotas
    • Adherence to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics
    • Strong drive, excellent execution, and creative problem-solving skills
    • High-level of integrity
    • Willingness to travel extensively (up to three weeks per month) (75-80% travel)
    • Self-starter, ability to work independently with little supervision
      Qualifications:
      • Minimum 4-year degree
      • Considerable outside sales/travel experience
      • Experience with CRM system software
