Engineering is a key function of Services NAM (Americas). The
function provides engineering expertise and technical solutions to
the various Business Units (BU) of Services. We support Operations
and Maintenance (O) sites, as well as lead the design efforts for
Asset Life Management (Modernizations, upgrades, overhauls of rail
vehicles) and support the Parts Obsolescence BU. We provide
engineering support to all products maintained by Alstom that
operate in the North American market (automated people movers,
light rail vehicles, commuters, metros, locomotives...), as well as
several of the infrastructure components (guideways, stations,
depots, electrification and power distribution...). We are 160
professionals, located in 17 different sites across the
continent.Managing the TD activities across all NAM Services sites
where TD engineers are locatedConsolidating TD activities fixed
cost definition, proper mechanical Carry-Over definition for
projects and ensuring that associatedhypothesis are clearly
highlightedEnsuring understanding and application of the TD rules,
processes and tools (multi-domains).Ensuring that mechanical design
reviews (multi-domains) are prepared and documented as per the
project/program schedule and tofollow-up the main open
actions.Ensuring proper collaborative work with other
metier/departmentEnsuring adequate TD resources are appointed to
the projects/programs/tenders allocated to the metierDefining
mitigation plans covering a risk identified on TD
scope.Establishing trainset layout with bogie architecture
principle and defining mass and Center of gravity per vehicle type
and bogieDefining train mechanical architecture taking into account
weight, gauge, installation strategy, acoustics, eco design,
ergonomics,aerodynamics, aeraulics...Responsible for :Managing the
development of the TD team to ensure the adequacy of the capacity
vs workload vs skills and the transfer ofactivities if
needed.Implementing an organisation to ensure the proper management
of TD activities.Managing forecast TD workload, based on hypotheses
provided by Workload Manager and identifying necessary resources
tosecure QCD commitments.Supporting the other stakeholders
(industrial, SLI, sourcing, validation etc..) in the understanding
of the TD processes (multidomains)and actions in particular with
regards to the interfaces between teams.Applying and following-up
the People Management Cycle on time for TD team according to N+1
and HR instructionsSupporting the TD team in the resolution of
issues and challenging actions (multi-domains) in particular those
involving otherstakeholders (internal or external).Reporting TD
activities progress and alert the relevant N+1 in case of main
issue (capacity, skills, rule applicability, etc.).Validating
relevant TD documents (RSAD TD, etc.)Signalling issue and/or making
proposals to TD Central Engineering that would contribute to
continuous improvement of the Metier.Contributor for :Collaborating
with the Central Engineering TD team for continuous improvement of
the Metier (including RoE)Mechanical Engineering applied to Railway
products (or Automotive domain or Aerospace domain) with 5+ years
of experienceExperience of 5+ years team managementGood
