What You'll Do in This Position
Purpose of Position
Serve as manager of planning, organizing, development, and
execution of strategies and programs for SRS Mission objective
prime contract compliance. Provide immediate level guidance, work
direction, oversight, and leadership to ensure strategies are
implemented to support financial, quality, delivery and risk
objectives of Management & Operation Contractor and Department of
Energy - Savannah River (DOE-SR). Support external leadership to
customer representatives, and internal leadership and input to
senior management, peers and subordinates necessary to foster team
understanding and unity of purpose.
Major Responsibilities
Perform a wide variety of complex, advanced and diverse functions
in direct support of contracts administration. Receive assignments
in the form of objectives and establish goals to meet
objectives.
Provide guidance to employees. Available to entire work group as a
subject matter expert for area of expertise. May act in a
consultant capacity to a wider customer base than work group
alone.
Develop, implement and conduct training for personnel and
management impacted by assigned programmatic, technical or support
function. Mentor less senior staff personnel.
Assist the director in the preparation, forecasting and reporting
of organization performance, budgets, manpower requirements,
workload distribution and the development of resource
requirements.
Exhibit competency at the highest technical or programmatic level
as demonstrated through both personal expertise and the effective
direction and leadership of assigned work group. Generally
acknowledged as the highest level subject matter expert in a staff
position for the general function or area supported. Directs
development, implementation and modification of area of
programmatic responsibility.
Establish and recommend changes to policies which affect
subordinate employees/organizations. Provide centralized control of
a program or process that supports operations. Interpret and
communicate programmatic, technical or process changes to
personnel. Responsible for accuracy and applicability of procedures
and policies that impact the day-to-day operations of the work
group.
Provide contract regulations, policy, and procedure guidance to
personnel across the company.
Oversee contract changes and process modifications and letters of
direction. Oversee correspondence to ensure complete and organized
files. Maintain and issue routine status reports.
Facilitate and implement corrective actions/plans to business
management problems. Maintain interface with Supply Chain
Management, Internal Audit, Finance, Project Controls, Project
Management, and Engineering.
Engage with less experienced personnel. Develop contract
administrative personnel/mentor sitewide employees using experience
with requisite skills and strategies related to prime contract
administration.
Security Clearance Information
SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and
background review that includes checks of personal references,
credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education
verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain
and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires
U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review
results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes
may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list

basis.

Engineering
MBA Preferred - ideally in Contracts, Business or Engineering
Applicable experience in Contract Administration or Procurement
Applicable experience in a Contract Manager role
Experience working with large Project
National Contract Management Certification
