Healthcare Practice Administrator Location: Augusta, GA and South Carolina Salary: 90,000-105,00,000/yr Full Benefits 770-642-6100 Ext. 233 Job Summary: The Practice Manager is responsible for successfully directing and operating the medical practice. The Practice Manager supports the practice with the resources required to meet patient needs while also meeting the financial objectives of the group practice. Our client in Augusta, Georgia is looking for a seasoned Practice Administrator for it's Outpatient Clinics in Augusta and South Carolina. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with physicians, staff and when serving as the liaison for the company. This is a very busy practice with 7 Physician's and a wonderful staff to assist in the Practice Management of the Clinics. Aditionally, the Practice Administrator will be responsible for financial operations, revenue cycle management, staff management, business planning, program/project development, and compliance and regulatory oversight to ensure the overall operational goals. The following skills set is required: Proficient with QuickBooks to maintain the company's financial records. Detailed knowledge of general accounting principles Detailed knowledge of managed care, workers compensation and government reimbursement regulations, revenue cycle, medical billing and coding requirements. Detailed knowledge and use of our practice management and electronic health records system applications and software - Athenahealth Client is seeking a minimum of 5 years of experience in Practice Management with excellent leadership skills and the ability to work with a variety of functions in the clinic. Please inquire soon and email resumes to Primary Job Responsibilities: Develops and implements goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems for all operational areas of the practice. Manages the daily operations while developing, monitoring, and analyzing budget and financial information. Manages revenue cycle functions including; charge/payment entry, charge review, accounts receivable review/performance. Manages all HR functions to ensure effective administration/implementation of compensation, benefits, job descriptions, personnel policies and payroll practices. Supervises all clinic staff functions and ensures quality patient care and services are provided. Responsible for bookkeeping functions, including effectively and accurately entering payables and receipts in Quickbooks. Furthermore, accurately reconciles bank accounts and monitors bank balances on a daily basis. Responsible for staff supervision, performance evaluation, merit increases and disciplinary actions. Resolves administrative and operational problems including the maintenance of clinic property, computer systems and installed software applications. Ensures compliance with regulations and standards. Gathers and reports data for fiscal and statistical analysis. Serves as a liaison between practice and external agencies. Maintains the strictest confidentiality. Performs other duties as assigned Experience: Minimum five to seven years managerial-level experience including five years of experience in the administration of a health care organization. Other Requirements: Licensure or ability to obtain licensure when background credentials warrant. Performance Requirements: Knowledge: Knowledge of principles and practices of health care planning and management sufficient to manage, direct, and coordinate the operation of a health care organization. Knowledge of the purposes, organization, and policies of the community's health systems sufficient to interact with other health care providers. Knowledge of practice management computer systems and applications. Knowledge of the policies and procedures of a clinic sufficient to direct its operations and to provide effective patient care. Knowledge of government and reimbursement regulations and requirements. Knowledgeable of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care and other third party payor's guidelines. General knowledge of accounting practices and procedures. Skills: Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making to achieve clinic objectives. Skill in planning, organizing, delegating and supervising. Skill in leading employees to accomplish all job objectives while inspiring confidence and motivation. Skill in gathering and interpreting data, analyzing situations accurately, and taking effective action. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, policy-making bodies, third-party payers, patients, and the public. Skill in organizing work, making assignments, and achieving goals and objectives. Skill in exercising judgment and discretion in developing, applying, interpreting, and coordinating departmental policies and procedures. Skill in verbal and written communication. Abilities: Ability to assume responsibility and exercise authority over assigned work functions. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. Ability to establish and maintain quality control standards. Ability to foster teambuilding with all clinic staff. Ability to organize and integrate organizational priorities and deadlines. Ability to research and prepare reports or other correspondence as required. Ability to competently use Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and appropriate practice management software.
