Job Description:
The Registered Respiratory Therapist performs Cardiopulmonary
duties in accordance with hospital policy/procedure under general
supervision. This can include administering of respiratory
treatments, airway management, ventilator management, blood gases,
and other noninvasive cardiology procedures. This individual will
be held to a high level of customer service representation and will
be an active participant in the continuous quality improvement
process. Serves as a resource to other employees.EducationHigh
School Diploma or GEDExperienceThree years of related experience.

ProfessionalQualifications*Must become certified in NRP and ACLS
within 8 months of employment.Requirements:Area of
Responsibilities*Administers respiratory treatments and oxygen
therapy correctly and in a timely manner. Participates in airway
management during CODEs. Performs ventilator care according to
established policy and protocols. Must be able to set priorities to
complete daily assignments.*Demonstrates the ability to coordinate
cardiopulmonary care of the patient with other departments which
fosters multidisciplinary care planning.*Participates in
Performance improvement activities by helping to identify, monitor,
and achieve improvement goals established by the
department*Provides exceptional customer service to patients,
families, visitor, physicians, and other employees. Through the
established systems and protocols used to evaluate staff for
excellent customer service employee will achieve the set

procedures and standards of care practice. Documentation is in
