Job Description:

Provides holistic nursing care in a high volume physician practice setting to patients all of ages: neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric, within the guidelines of Piedmont Hospital and the State of Georgia for the Licensed Practical Nurse. Qualifications :Education Graduate of an accredited practical nurse program with knowledge and skills normally acquired through such a program.Licensure Certification Current and valid LPN license in Georgia. Basic CPR certification required.Experience Ability to perform nursing care as defined by licensure at a level normally acquired through one year general working experience as a LPN preferred.Knowledge Skills & Abilities Ability to apply practical nursing education including nursing knowledge of growth and development relevant to the ages of the patients served in an ambulatory clinic setting.Substantial level of analytical ability required in order set priorities and coordinate patient care.Advanced level of interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with multiple personalities And levels of personnel.Ability to perform efficiently and effectively under stress.Sufficient physical and psychological health to allow 95% attendance.Requires frequent intense concentratiottention to detail 90% of the time to read and document, use equipment and computers, and to prioritize and provide patient care both direct and indirect.Job requires both initiative and dependability.Philosophy of health care and nursing is compatible with that of the mission of the institution.Physical Demands Individual physical activity includes: long periods of communication, verbal and written, hearing, manual dexterity, standing, sitting and walking, bending and stooping, lifting heavy objects.
