Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical Surgical Job Duration: 6 Months Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 1 year; First-time applicants are accepted License: GA or Compact license must be obtained prior to application Certifications: BLS Required Must-Have: - Ability to work every other weekend - Compliance with floating requirements - Availability to work major holidays as per assignment Job Description: - Care for adult to geriatric patient populations with various medical-surgical diagnoses - Practice isolation precautions and provide wound care including wound vac management - Utilize nasal cannula, high flow nasal cannula, and manage chest tubes - Start IVs and manage PICC lines - Administer blood products and manage feeding tubes - Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6 within a unit with 32 rooms and an average daily census of 29 - Use Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems - Adhere to compliance requirements to ensure a timely start date - Completion of a 13-hour orientation is required Additional Information: - Navy blue scrub color required - COVID-19 and Flu vaccines are mandated, with exemptions considered for medical or religious reasons - Two supervisory references preferred at the time of submission - Core items and labs must be completed/scheduled within 48 hours of contract signing for an on-time start.
