Shift: Sunday 6:30PM to 7:30AM, Monday through Wednesday 10:00PM
to 7:00AM. No Call. Required to work holidays that fall on worked

benefits here.DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTIONPerform complex tasks
associated with operating high-field strength magnets and related
equipment to produce special radiographic images of specific body
parts. Screen patients for MR safety before procedure performance.
Assist the radiologist with procedure protocols and performance.
Start IVs; administer contrast media as directed and per protocol.
Provide for the psychological and physical needs of patients for MR
procedures. Evaluate MR scans for technical quality, collate
processed images, sequence the acquisition, and label
appropriately. Schedule patients for procedures and assist with
clerical functions. Load and operate power injectors for contrast
media administration. Maintain accurate patient records. Provide
orientation for new technologists. Understand and use the image
archival system. Operate specialized cardiac monitoring equipment
used for patients with pacemakers. Provide education and training
for student technologists. Assist with the education and training
of new physicians (interns, residents, fellows, and attendings if
applicable). Assist radiologists and physicists in developing new
protocols and MR imaging techniques unique to MU Health Care. May
complete unit/department-specific duties and expectations as
outlined in department documents.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSMagnetic
Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MR) certification by the American Registry
of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); or MRI Technologist
certification by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance
Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSTwo (2)
years of experience as an MRI technologist. Additional
license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring
department.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are
representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable
accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an
essential function of the job. This position is very active and
requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to
and over 20 lbs. This role also routinely comes into contact with
patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a
health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating
shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be
