Job Title: Interventional Radiology Professional Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (09:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: GA or Compact license must be in hand at time of submission Certifications: Flu vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions only Description: Unit schedule is Monday through Friday. There are no weekend shifts. On-call requirements are approximately 10 days a month. Floating within facility and scope of practice may be needed. The unit accepts first-time travelers. Candidates will be reviewed by clinical staff to determine clinical fit. If the clinical review is passed and meets guidelines, the candidate will be sent to the manager for a final decision. Requests for time off are limited to a maximum of 7 days. Travelers are expected to work one major holiday if it falls within their assignment period. If two major holidays occur during the assignment, travelers must work both. If three major holidays occur during the assignment, travelers are expected to work two of them. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. Full compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant on time, the start date will be delayed by two weeks due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule. Local candidates are accepted with the same expectations. References from two supervisory individuals who are managers or above are highly preferred. Candidates must be available to submit core items and complete/schedule labs within 48 hours of signing the contract. One holiday time-off request can be reviewed for approval if three major holidays occur during the assignment period. Modules are non-billable and completed during orientation. Orientation consists of 13 hours and is non-billable.
