Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting. - Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a high-acuity environment. - Experience with Epic is required. Description: 36 or 48 hour guarantee available. Candidates must be willing to work with a diverse patient population that includes adolescents to geriatrics. The setting is a general Emergency Department that is very large and busy. The department has a high patient volume, averaging 165-175 patients per day. The nurse-patient ratio is 1:4 in a 59-bed emergency room. Orientation consists of 13 hours of training. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Travelers may be required to float rarely to other units. Candidates are expected to work one major holiday if it falls within the assignment period. If two major holidays occur, the traveler must work both. If three major holidays occur, the traveler must work at least two of them. Compliance with all requirements is essential to start on time. Clinical screening will be conducted to ensure a suitable fit for the role. Local candidates are accepted with the same requirements. Candidates must submit core items and complete necessary laboratory work promptly to ensure an on-time start.
