Med/Surg RN Job Details - Location: Augusta, GA 30901 (Georgia nursing jobs) - Assignment Length: 8 weeks (November 10, 2025 – January 5, 2026) - Unit: 42-bed Medical/Surgical unit (post-surgical, ortho, urology, colorectal, bariatrics, neurology, general surgery) - Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 – 19:00) - Hours per Week: 36 - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1460–$1500 - Patient Ratio: 1:6 - Scrub Color: Royal Blue - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend - Floating: Yes, as needed to similar units - Charting System: Epic (required) Registered Nurse Qualifications - Active Georgia or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand at time of submission) - Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience in a U.S. healthcare setting - BLS certification (required) - Travel nursing experience required - Proficiency with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system - Experience managing a 1:6 patient ratio - Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted) - Ability to float to similar medical-surgical units as needed - Must be available to work assigned holidays during contract dates - Two supervisory references (manager or above) highly preferred Med/Surg RN Responsibilities - Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric post-surgical patients - Manage a patient load of up to 6 patients per shift in a fast-paced Med/Surg environment - Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform comprehensive patient assessments - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, Radiology, and Social Services - Document all patient care using Epic EHR system - Adhere to isolation precautions and infection control protocols - Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed - Float to other medical-surgical units as required by facility needs - Work every other weekend and assigned holidays during the travel nursing contract Experience the best of Georgia nursing jobs in Augusta while making a difference in patient care.
