Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/01/2025 Duration: Ongoing 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Staff Job Summary We’re seeking an experienced and compassionate Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team in Augusta, GA. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency environment. This role involves collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care, promote positive outcomes, and support the mission of excellence in emergency nursing practice. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes using evidence-based practice. Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care that meets the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of each patient. Respond effectively to emergencies and prioritize patient care based on acuity. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient outcomes. Document all patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, performance evaluations, and shared governance activities. Serve as a mentor and preceptor to new nursing staff and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred). Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia (or Compact License). Current BLS certificate required Minimum 1–2 years of Emergency Department or critical care experience preferred. Strong communication, clinical judgment, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
