Pay Information $1,969 per week About The Position Job Title: Charge Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year; first timers accepted License: Must possess a state license Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience (1:6) - Charting system experience with Epic Description: This position is a charge role. The patient population includes adolescents to geriatrics. The medical surgical unit includes remote telemetry and various medical surgical diagnoses. The unit has a total of 38 beds with an average daily census of 33. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:6. The nurse will be expected to float to other similar units as needed. Weekend coverage will be required, with an expectation to work every other weekend. The traveler is expected to work if one major holiday falls within the assignment period. If two major holidays occur, the traveler must work both holidays. If three major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work two of those holidays. The major holidays include New Year’s Eve and Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Full compliance with credentials and documentation is required to start on time. Vaccinations: Flu vaccine required, medical or religious exemptions only. Preferred references include two supervisory references from previous roles.
