Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Float Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: BLS ACLS NIHSS Must-Have: Ability to float to all applicable units within the facility Knowledge of Epic charting system Description: The position requires a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience. First-time travelers are accepted for this role. The patient population includes adults to geriatrics. Floating is required to all applicable units within the facility. Patient ratios are 1:4-5 for PCU and 1:5-6 for medical-surgical/telemetry units. Full compliance is required to start on time. The traveler is expected to work one major holiday if it falls within the assignment period If two major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work both holidays. If three major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work two of them. The position entails various patient diagnoses and procedures related to PCU, medical-surgical, and telemetry care. All necessary skills for managing diverse patient needs are required. The candidate must be willing to participate in ongoing education and training as mandated by the facility. There is no call requirement for this position. Weekends are required with an average of 6 shifts in a 13-week contract. The candidate should exhibit strong teamwork and communication skills.
