Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Augusta, Georgia, 30901!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU
Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours
Experience: Minimum 2 years required; first-timers accepted
License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Must-Have: - Experience in telemetry - Ability to interpret
dysrhythmias - Skills in managing cardiac drips (no titration) -
Proficiency in central line care and management - Experience in
blood product administration - Background in isolation precautions
- Knowledge in non-invasive airway management Description: This
position involves caring for adult to geriatric patients. Patients
are admitted via direct admissions from clinics, physician offices,
prompt cares, or emergency rooms. The patient population consists
of intermediate-level medical-surgical patients. Diagnoses include
dysrhythmias, CHF, acute onset stroke or stroke symptoms not
requiring TPA, and acute coronary syndrome. The work environment is
fast-paced with a focus on patient throughput. Patient-centered
care is prioritized while ensuring a great teamwork dynamic. All
patients are monitored on hardwire telemetry. The nurse is
responsible for self-monitoring each patient's condition. The
staff-to-patient ratio is 1:4 with a total of 12 beds. The unit
utilizes electronic health record and medication management
systems. Floating may occur during low census times. Employees may
be required to work during major holidays. Compliance with all
required documentation is essential. Preferred qualifications
include experience with charting systems in addition to Epic.
References from supervisory-level personnel are highly preferred.
