Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Augusta, GA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,988 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 16 Weeks Start Date: 1/26/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 16 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred. - Experience managing mixed patient populations including medical/surgical and stroke patients. - Ability to handle cardiac telemetry and titrate cardiac drips. Description: The position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience. First-time travelers are accepted. Patient population varies from adolescents to geriatrics. Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. General skills required include managing cardiac drips and telemetry. Assignments may involve all PCU, all medical/surgical, or a mix based on patient acuity and staffing. The staffing ratio for this unit is 1:4-5. Compliance with all necessary documentation is required to start on time. Orientation will be provided and involves a series of modules. There is no block scheduling, and weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Holidays may require working during major holiday periods. The unit has high staffing ratios with a daily census of approximately 30 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services. This is a stepdown unit that manages medical, surgical, and intermediate care patients. Special skills include phlebotomy, peripheral line care, and managing non-invasive airway therapies.
