Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical/Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse required Certifications: NIHSS, BLS & ACLS required, CPI - Required Must-Have: BSN highly desired Description: Fulfills the needs of patients, families, and the community by performing various patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. Delivers care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner. Applies knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan necessary to provide age-appropriate care. Demonstrates the ability to obtain information and interpret it in terms of patients' needs. Demonstrates an understanding of the range of treatment needed by patients. Makes initial assessments and determines appropriate nursing needs of assigned patients, as evidenced by documentation. Performs initial and ongoing assessments on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, as evidenced by documentation. Completes admission assessments within the timeframe established according to policy and procedures. Experience with Cerner is required. Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program is required.
