Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/26/2026 - Duration: 12 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel ```htmlJob Opportunity – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry RN – Georgia Start Date: January 26, 2026 Location: Augusta, Georgia Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 13-week assignment; every other weekend required (approximately 6 weekends per contract); maximum 7 days of requested time off Highlights: - Patient population includes adults to geriatrics with all potential medical-surgical and telemetry diagnoses - Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 on medical-surgical and telemetry units - Epic charting system utilized exclusively (hard requirement) - Float required across multiple medical-surgical and telemetry units; may include float to sister campus approximately 3 miles away - Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, lift teams, pharmacy, and respiratory services - No call requirements; holiday coverage expected per facility policy Requirements: - Active Georgia or Compact nursing license (must be in hand at time of application) - Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted - Epic EMR experience required (hard stop – no exceptions) - Current BLS certification - Experience with 5:1 to 6:1 patient ratios preferred - Two supervisory references (manager level or above) highly preferred at time of submission - Willingness to float between units and potentially to sister campus location - Flu vaccination required (medical or religious exemptions only) - Full compliance documentation required by the Tuesday prior to start date to ensure on-time orientation Why It's a Great Opportunity: This medical-surgical and telemetry position offers the chance to work with a diverse patient population in a supportive environment with robust interdisciplinary resources.
