ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Augusta, Georgia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/26/2026 Duration: 14 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Minimum 1 year experience required; first-time travelers accepted • Patient population: Adults to Geriatrics • Patient ratio: 1:5-6 patients • Work every other weekend • Floating required as part of rotation with regular staff • No call requirements • Holiday work required based on assignment period • Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed • Required certification: BLS • Must be proficient in Epic charting system (required), Pyxis, and SBAR • Scrub color: Navy Blue • 24 hours of orientation provided • Medical Surgical/Remote Telemetry unit with diagnoses including diabetes, med/surg, post-op, wound vacs, and bariatrics • Skills required: Blood product administration, chest tubes, colostomy care, feeding tube management, high flow nasal cannula, IV management, telemetry monitoring, wound care/wound vac, and various other medical-surgical skills • Must be available to submit compliance documents and complete labs within 48 hours of signing contract • GA or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal • Two supervisory references highly preferred at submission Facility: This healthcare facility operates a 33-bed medical surgical unit with remote telemetry monitoring capabilities, maintaining an average daily census of 28 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy services. The unit features modern equipment including Diligent lift equipment, space labs in every room, and dedicated support staff including charge nurses on each shift, unit secretary coverage, case managers, and patient experience representatives.
