Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Columbia, Missouri,

weekends and holidays Description: This is a position in a 42-bed
unit. The unit operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The nurse
will be part of a team nursing model. The nurse will be responsible
for assessments and medications. The nursing team will work closely
with techs who assist with lab draws, ambulation, and hourly
rounding. There will also be a nurse navigator to assist with
admissions and discharges. Staffing ratios are 1:5-6 during the day
and 1:6 at night. Physical demands include ambulating and moving
objects weighing over 20 lbs. This role involves contact with
patients who may have contagious illnesses. Rotating shifts, as
well as work during holidays and inclement weather, will be
required. Candidates must be able to work the substantial portion
of the assigned shift. It is expected that 50% of holidays will be
worked during the contract period. The daily patient census
averages around 30. Interdisciplinary support is available,
including physical therapy and social services. Registered Nurses
in this role will manage patients with various medical conditions.
Experience in trauma and post-operative care is preferred. The
nurse will assist in procedures and provide comprehensive patient
care. Floating among units may be required based on staffing needs.
