Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Columbia, MO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,122 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Columbia, Missouri, 65201! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 1 year required License: Must have a valid nursing license Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: 1 year of experience required Experience in team nursing Ability to float as required Willingness to work weekends and holidays Description: This is a position in a 42-bed unit. The unit operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The nurse will be part of a team nursing model. The nurse will be responsible for assessments and medications. The nursing team will work closely with techs who assist with lab draws, ambulation, and hourly rounding. There will also be a nurse navigator to assist with admissions and discharges. Staffing ratios are 1:5-6 during the day and 1:6 at night. Physical demands include ambulating and moving objects weighing over 20 lbs. This role involves contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. Rotating shifts, as well as work during holidays and inclement weather, will be required. Candidates must be able to work the substantial portion of the assigned shift. It is expected that 50% of holidays will be worked during the contract period. The daily patient census averages around 30. Interdisciplinary support is available, including physical therapy and social services. Registered Nurses in this role will manage patients with various medical conditions. Experience in trauma and post-operative care is preferred. The nurse will assist in procedures and provide comprehensive patient care. Floating among units may be required based on staffing needs.
