Pay: $49 per hour Shift Information: Nights Start Date: ASAP About the Position Registered Nurse - Telemetry – UHC Staffing Registered Nurse - Telemetry Location: Highlands, NC Start Date: 02-02-2026 End Date: 05-04-2026 Contract Type: Travel Contract Shift Type: Rotating night shifts; 3x12-hour shifts per week, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (Night). Roles & Responsibilities Monitor and interpret telemetry tracings and act quickly to ensure patient safety Provide expert wound care, including advanced assessment and dressing changes Deliver high-quality med/surg nursing for geriatric and swing-bed patients Perform minor procedures on unit according to protocol and training Document thoroughly and accurately in Cerner to support continuity of care Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create patient-centered plans Provide exceptional, concierge-level patient experience that meets community expectations Qualifications Active RN license (eligible to work in North Carolina required) Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with geriatric or inpatient rehab (swing bed) experience required BLS certification required; ACLS and CPI preferred Proven wound care skills and comfort performing minor procedures Experience with Cerner or similar electronic documentation systems Ability to work overnight/night shifts and maintain excellent clinical judgment under variable staffing Education Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Knowledge & Skills Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition Advanced wound assessment and dressing selection Strong med/surg assessment and clinical decision-making Proficient documentation practices in Cerner Effective patient and family communication, especially in an affluent/concierge setting Time management and ability to work with minimal unit support when techs are unavailable Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental & vision coverage to keep you healthy and ready for adventure Paid time off so you can recharge and explore the mountains Travel reimbursement and housing assistance options for contract nurses Licensure assistance and reimbursement to make credentialing easier Professional development support and opportunities to grow clinical skills A supportive team and leadership that value your experience and well-being Referral bonus program to reward you for bringing great people on board Concierge-level patient care environment that values bedside excellence Travel Perks: Explore Highlands, NC Highlands is a mountain gem.
