Job Description Job Description Description: Sunset Children's Dentistry is seeking a full-time, highly skilled, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team! We are a private pediatric practice located in the heart of Lexington, committed to providing exceptional care in a warm and welcoming environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures. Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays). Gather and document patients’ medical and dental history. Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment. Provide clear pre- and post-operative instructions for oral care. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene (brushing, flossing, etc.). Chart treatments and clinical notes in Eaglesoft . Perform dental cleanings/prophylaxis, fluoride application, and place sealants. Sterilize instruments and maintain clean treatment rooms. Support overall office cleanliness and assist with additional tasks as needed. Requirements: Requirements Radiography Certification (Required) Nitrous Oxide Certification (Required) Previous dental assisting experience (pediatric experience a plus) Knowledge of Eaglesoft preferred Strong communication and patient-care skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professional, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
