Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 14 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • 12-hour shifts caring for adult to geriatric patient population on renal medical-surgical unit • Patient ratio of 1:5-6 with 49 rooms and average daily census of 48 • Required to work every other weekend unless specified elsewhere • Floating required within facility/scope of practice as needed • No call requirements • Holiday work required: if 1-2 major holidays fall during assignment, work all holidays; if 3 major holidays fall during assignment, work 2 of them • Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed • RTO blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4th-12th) • 12 hours of orientation provided • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required • BLS certification required • Epic charting system experience required • Navy blue scrubs required • Must be available to submit core items and complete labs within 48 hours of signing contract • Full compliance required to start on time • Skills required include telemetry monitoring, IV management, wound care, medication administration, and management of various medical equipment • Experience with renal failure patients, hemodialysis management, and medical-surgical procedures preferred Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical-surgical unit specializing in renal care with 49 beds and maintains a high daily census. The facility utilizes Epic electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems. The unit provides interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and various other specialized services to ensure comprehensive patient care in a modern healthcare environment.
