Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 14 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Days, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 23, 2026 - Length: 14 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring both circulating and scrubbing experience across a multi-specialty main OR with robotics capabilities. Details - Main OR setting within a hospital, supporting General, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, Robotics, Urology, Vascular, and Colorectal surgical specialties - Adult to geriatric patient population - 16 OR rooms with an average daily census of 35 patients - Circulating and scrubbing responsibilities required in this role - Utilizes Epic, Pyxis, and two Da Vinci XI robotic systems - Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) - Averages 2–3 weekend shifts per contract period - On-call requirement of 7–8 calls per 6-week schedule, plus 1 weekend call and 1–2 weekend call shifts - Floating is rare Requirements - Active GA or Compact RN license required - Current BLS certification required - Minimum 1 year of OR experience required - Experience with both circulating and scrubbing is required - Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred Additional Information - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Scrubs are provided by the facility - RTO is capped at 7 days for the contract period; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment - Holiday coverage policy: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work 2 of them and may request 1 holiday off for approval - Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day - No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests are permitted — the posted shift is firm - Local candidates are accepted for this position - Travelers who have previously worked at any Piedmont facility must have been away for a full year before returning as a traveler - Full compliance is required prior to the start of the assignment; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule - Candidates will undergo a clinical review to assess fit before being forwarded to the hiring manager American Traveler Job ID P-677215.
