Job Description Position Title Chief of Developmental Pediatrics
About the Role The University of Kentucky HealthCare is seeking a
Board-Certified Chief of Developmental Pediatrics to lead the
Division’s clinical, research, and academic missions. This leader
will shape the Division’s research strategy, strengthen its
clinical programs, and support faculty development while enhancing
excellence in pediatric care. Practice Highlights Research
Leadership Seek and secure grant funding to advance developmental
pediatrics research. Provide research leadership, coordination, and
oversight for all Division research activities. Collaborate with
Pediatric and UK faculty to support academic output aligned with
Division and Department priorities. Apply for and maintain IRB
protocols. Plan, participate in, and support the implementation of
evidence-based interventions. Disseminate findings through
publications, conferences, community education, and partnerships
with schools and agencies. Patient Care Provide compassionate,
evidence-based care for children with developmental and behavioral
challenges in an outpatient-focused setting. Administration &
Leadership Advance the mission and vision of the Division through
strategic planning and operational oversight. Mentor faculty and
staff to enhance clinical efficiency and interdisciplinary
collaboration. Optimize clinical services and promote excellence
across all programmatic initiatives. Professional Development
Actively engage in professional societies, advisory groups, study
sections, and other academic or scientific activities that support
career and program advancement. Kentucky Children’s Richmond Road
(KCRR) at UK is a newly renovated, 25,000-square-foot
multidisciplinary center serving children with IDD and other
special health care needs. Supported in part by a transformative
$50 million gift from the Golisano Foundation to advance IDD care
across Kentucky, KCRR brings specialty clinics, therapies,
dietitian and social work services, and parent/caregiver training
together in one coordinated, family-focused location. Through
partnerships with Easterseals Bluegrass and UK’s ABA program,
families can access comprehensive, convenient wraparound services.
This position will also be eligible for consideration for the $3
million Easterseals Bluegrass Chair in Developmental Pediatric
Research. Schedule & Practice Details Outpatient-focused program
with multidisciplinary support. Collaborative team includes: 5
Advanced Practice Providers 4 Nurses 9 Support Staff No inpatient
call responsibilities, allowing focus on leadership, faculty
mentorship, and program development. Work hours and schedule are
flexible, based on outpatient volume and program need. Compensation

Qualification M.D./D.O. degree or equivalent Clinical experience in
Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics required Eligible for or able
to obtain medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Kentucky
Preferred: Fellowship training and board certification (or
eligibility) in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics Qualification
