a qualified Med/Surg RN in Augusta, Georgia, 30912! Job Title: RN
Clinical Periop Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Registered Nurse -
Inpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: Four

Clinical Periop Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary
team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers. They ensure that
patients, families, and significant others receive individualized
high-quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical
environment supported through a shared governance model. The
framework for practice is guided by a professional practice model,
evidence-based practice, and research. RN competencies are derived
from these models and supported by core competencies. All RN
Clinical Nurses are expected to be licensed, knowledgeable, and
uphold nursing practices as outlined by the state's professional
nurse practice act. They implement the Scope of Practice and Code
of Ethics Standards put forth by the nursing association. As a
member of the patient services team, they uphold the voice of the
patient and system policies while supporting service excellence
goals. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: They perform
the nursing process which includes assessment, diagnosis,
identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and
evaluation. They provide relationship-based, patient-centered care
that reflects an understanding of cultural diversity. They partner
with the patient and significant others using appropriate methods
for communication. They coordinate and document safe, quality
patient care that promotes a professional care delivery model. This
includes participating in performance improvement and research
activities. They participate in the development of protocols and
procedures in collaboration with team members. They support the
efficient use of human and material resources. They comply with all
policies, standards of work, and the code of conduct. Required
Minimum Education: Associates in Nursing, Diploma in Nursing, or
Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred. Required Minimum Experience:
Completion of an accredited/approved school of nursing with
requisite clinical hours. Experience in direct patient care
preferred. Required Minimum Skills: Ability to optimize technology
to support clinical care and hold basic computer skills. Ability to
respond to emergencies in a decisive and respectful manner. Strong
analytical and critical thinking skills are essential. They serve
