Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 16, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 4 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg travel position requiring Cerner EMR experience and ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications. Details - Work in a hospital-based Med/Surg unit - Care for adult medical-surgical patients, including telemetry - Shifts are 12 hours, with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week - Use of Cerner EMR is required - Travelers must reside at least 100 miles from the facility Requirements - Active SC or compact RN license required with no pending status - Minimum of 2 years of recent inpatient hospital Med/Surg experience in the US required - At least 6 months of telemetry experience required - At least 6 months of travel nursing experience required - Current AHA certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required - CPI certification from Crisis Prevention Institute's NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training required - Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required - Cerner EMR experience required - BSN is highly desired - Two manager or supervisor references from within the past 12 months required, with one from the most recent employer - Must provide US SSN, driver’s license, certifications, and required immunization records for consideration Additional Information - Deliver age-appropriate, compassionate nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients - Perform initial and ongoing assessments with comprehensive documentation - Complete admission assessments within established time frames following facility policies - Demonstrate ability to interpret and address patient needs over the lifespan - Strict adherence to holiday, dress code, and facility-specific requirements is expected - No first-time travelers will be considered for this assignment - Local candidates within a 100-mile radius are not eligible for this position American Traveler Job ID P-672888.
