Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Jan 19, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 3 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Med/Surg night shift contract requiring a SC or compact RN license and 2 years' recent hospital Med/Surg experience. Details - Hospital-based Med/Surg unit - Night shifts of 12 hours, typically 3 shifts per week - 13-week contract assignment - Care for a range of adult medical and surgical patients - No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius Requirements - Active SC or compact RN license in hand - Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience in a US hospital - Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program - Certifications required: BLS, ACLS (AHA only), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training) - BSN strongly preferred - Two professional references from manager or supervisor preferred, with at least one from the most recent employer - Must provide US Social Security Number for consideration Additional Information - Deliver comprehensive nursing care and assessments for Med/Surg patients - Perform both initial and ongoing assessments, including admission assessment within established time frames - Appropriately document patient care and interventions - Apply principles of growth and development to provide age-appropriate care - Demonstrate competency in interpreting patient needs and treatments - Scrub or dress code to be confirmed per hospital policy - Coverage of holidays may be required as assigned American Traveler Job ID P-652948.
