Job Description:

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for providing patient-centered, comprehensive therapy services aimed at improving clients' quality of life. Our Occupational Therapists play a crucial role in our integrated healthcare delivery model, which includes inpatient rehabilitation, home health, and hospice care. You will assess patients' needs, devise individual treatment plans, and facilitate rehabilitative services that help patients regain or improve their ability to perform day-to-day activities. Evaluate patients’ medical histories and assess their physical and cognitive abilities. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to patients' specific needs. Use therapeutic equipment and exercises to assist patients in regaining or improving their functionality and independence. Document patient progress and adapt treatment plans as required. Educate patients and families about home treatment options and exercises. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and principles relevant to occupational therapy. Ability to operate specialized therapy equipment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. High level of compassion and patience. Strong documentation and record-keeping skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Must be a licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of practice. NBCOT certification preferred.
