About the Position Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession:
Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 12 Weeks
Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years
required; first-timers accepted License: RRT or minimum of CRTT
(CRT must have critical care skills/experience and a minimum of 5
years as a therapist) Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have:
Experience with neonates, adults, and geriatrics Description:
Minimum experience of 2 years is required. First-timers are
accepted. The patient population includes neonates, adults, and
geriatrics. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and RRT or
minimum of CRTT. CRT must have critical care skills and experience,
with at least 5 years as a therapist. General skills needed include
ABG interpretation, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BiPAP, and troubleshooting
high-pressure alarms. Additional skills required include weaning
from mechanical ventilation, trach collar management, high flow
nasal cannula, and airway management. The ability to work with Epic
and Pyxis systems is required. Travelers are expected to work major
holidays if assigned. Compliance in full is required to start on
time. Travelers with specific experience in adult critical care and
related systems are preferred. References are strongly preferred
from supervisory roles. Candidates must be available to submit core
items and complete necessary requirements promptly. Availability
for weekends is necessary according to the unit's requirements.
There may be floating within the facility/scope of practice as
needed. Job expectations include maintaining patient care and
collaborating with the healthcare team. All travelers must adhere
to the holiday policy regarding major holidays. Requirements
