As the Human Resources Generalist at The Carlstar Group, a specialty tire plant, you will be actively fielding employee HR-related questions, owning recruiting processes, managing payroll, and collaborating with other team members to best serve the plant. This is a true generalist role, encompassing a broad scope of HR-related activities, with lots of room to identify problems and provide creative solutions to bring real change within the organization.       • Must Have Skills & Experience:
        • Must be willing to work from the plant in Aiken, SC every day. No hybrid or remote options available.
        • Bachelors degree
        • 2 years experience in Human Resources
        • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
        • General knowledge of employment laws and practices
        • Sensitive to corporate and business needs, as well as employee goodwill
        • Comfortable explaining benefit options to employees
        • Tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office
        • Strong written and verbal communication skills
        • High level of confidentiality
        • Coaching employees through complex, difficult, and emotional
          issues
        • Ability to organize and prioritize work
        • Hourly recruitment experience
        • Preferred skills & experiences:
          • 2 years of HR experience with employee relations and benefits
          • PHR certification
          • Bachelor's degree in HR or related
          • Experience in benefits and compensation programs
          • Ability to stay current with employment law changes
          • Payroll
          • Temp Staffing agencies
          • New hire onboarding (groups of hourly employees of 5-10)
          • HRIS System
          • Collaborating with educational institutions training skilled labor
          • Manufacturing or Warehouse HR experience
