The Role You'll PlayAre you an early career Human Resources

Resources Generalist at The Carlstar Group, a specialty tire plant,
you will be actively fielding employee HR-related questions, owning
recruiting processes, managing payroll, and collaborating with
other team members to best serve the plant. This is a true
generalist role, encompassing a broad scope of HR-related
activities, with lots of room to identify problems and provide
creative solutions to bring real change within the organization. If

- Must Have Skills & Experience:
- Must be willing to work from the plant in Aiken, SC every day.
No hybrid or remote options available.
- Bachelors degree
- 2 years experience in Human Resources
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- General knowledge of employment laws and practices
- Sensitive to corporate and business needs, as well as employee
goodwill
- Comfortable explaining benefit options to employees
- Tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of confidentiality
- Coaching employees through complex, difficult, and
emotional
issues
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Hourly recruitment experience
- Preferred skills & experiences:
- 2 years of HR experience with employee relations and
benefits
- PHR certification
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related
- Experience in benefits and compensation programs
- Ability to stay current with employment law changes
- Payroll
- Temp Staffing agencies
- New hire onboarding (groups of hourly employees of 5-10)
- HRIS System
- Collaborating with educational institutions training skilled
labor
- Manufacturing or Warehouse HR experience
