Contract Overview This requirement is to provide Information Technology services and support for enhancement, maintenance and security of the Cyber CoE G6's Network, Enterprise Level Solutions, and IT Services from the Unclassified to Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) classifications. The G6 will work to design, maintain, and secure IT solutions for the Cyber CoE. Position General Responsibilities - Serve as an Information Assurance Technician (IAT) level II IAW DoD 8570.01-M or current regulation ******************************************** - Serve as a virtualization administrator specializing in VMware virtualization technology or future virtualization technologies. - Install, configure and manage virtualization environments. - Install, configure and manage Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). - Install, configure and manage physical and virtual routers, switches, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Power Distribution Units (PDUs), servers, etc. - Performs a variety of tasks to include identifying servers to be virtualized, creating test environments, validation, converting servers, and maintaining virtual infrastructure. - Continue to improve the virtual classroom course design to meet instructor and student needs. Analyzes systems requirements in response to customer requirements, risks, and costs by working directly with management and system administrators. Evaluates new systems information technologies and their effect on the environment. Ensures that cyber security and OPSEC policies, principles, and practices are an integral element of the operating environment. Integrates hardware and software components within the systems environment. - Continually monitors and fine-tunes performance of the Information Systems. Conducts analyses of network usage, user complaints, traffic interruptions, hardware and software capabilities, and other relevant factors. Identifies adverse trends, ineffective practices or procedures, equipment shortcomings, etc. - Apply Information Technology (IT) expertise, including feasibility studies, technical evaluation, justification, acquisition/procurement, installation, implementation, management, and administration of IT systems. Work is performed in a complex IT network environment involving support to geographically dispersed sites and locations. - Creates, updates and follows SOPs and other documentation (ex. Change and configuration management.) - Keep up-to-date on IT news regarding networks and security. - Serve as Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)/ Information Assurance Manager (IAM). - Create and maintain databases using best practices. - Design develop code and all information system in compliance with applicable STIGs, polices, best practices, regulations from all governing authorities such as (but not limited to) DoD, DISA, Army, NIST and implement best coding practices from organizations such as OWASP, W3C and SANS. - Test and validate all code using both manual and automated methods such as code review, markup validation services, static code analysis, dynamic code analysis and vulnerability testing. Testing methods and processes shall be determined by the Cyber Security Division. - Create user interfaces for software using best practices. - Assist in CON process for software development. - Implement systems and technologies for big data in accordance with best practices. - Interface with Fort Gordon (FG) Network Enterprise Center (NEC) and other agencies. - Unclassified - Create and user guides for software implementation. - Monitor the Attendance Tracker/ TDY Tracker and other systems. The candidate shall create/maintain software. - Create, edit, manipulate and produce graphics for multiple uses across existing and potential Knowledge Management projects, platforms and systems. - Manage and maintain dynamic web server environment to include but not limited to Microsoft IIS, Microsoft server, Apache Server, MySQL, Microsoft SQL and other dynamic services. - Manage configuration of authentication software such as AKO SiteMinder or other software configurations responsible for the secure access to G6 Sites and portals. - Translate complex technical requirements into actionable and sustainable tasks. - Compile reports ranging from a wide variety of topic areas related to existing and potential G6 projects, platforms and Systems. - Manage and conduct regular policy and governance checks pertaining to but not limited to OPSEC, DOD Web Policy, Content Management and related topic areas. - Create, conduct and maintain training for units and staff on all G6 platforms, systems and theories. - Provide database support for existing SQL databases related to SharePoint and mission specific applications on NIPR, SIPR and JWICS networks. Services include, but are not limited to, service life-cycle maintenance of databases, implementing reporting features, correcting database errors, modifying databases to reflect fiscal changes, performing upgrades, and user training. - Monitor web applications, servers, other systems and databases using both manual methods and automated tools. Position Qualifications - A minimum of three (3) years' experience VMWare Virtualization administration experience including vSphere, VCenter, vMotion, Horizon View, McAfee MOVE and vRealize - Strong understanding of virtualization, Software Defined Networking, Software Defined Storage, local area networking, Telecom, VoIP, LANs, switching, servers, messaging, - unified communications, etc. - Ability to communicate with virtualization architects about the virtual environment. - Ability to use infrastructure monitoring technologies (ex. Splunk, SolarWinds, Nagios). Proficiency in NIST SP 800 series, Army IT and IA Regulations (ex. 25-1 and 25-2), DoD Cyber Security Regulations, OWASP, FedRamp and Cloud Security Alliance framework. - Ability to create system documentation such as System Security Plans, Standard Operating Procedures, etc. - Understanding of datacenter networking fabric topologies and common architectures deployed both Layer 2 and Layer 3 based. - Understanding of user experience best practices, information architecture, and interaction/visual design. - Web development; including multi-site and domain management. - Ability to create, edit, manipulate and produce graphics for multiple use across existing and potential projects, platforms and systems. - Subject matter expert and expert practitioner in web development technology: Portal technology (ex. SharePoint, Oracle, Confluence Content Management Systems (ex. Django, Drupal, Joomla, WordPress, Umbraco etc.), Web Scripting Languages (ex. PHP, Ruby on Rails, *******), general purpose languages (ex. Python, Java, C, .Net), Mobile Programming Languages or any technology that the CCoE deems critical to the mission. - Subject matter expert and expert practitioner in database engineering topics and technologies such as: developing data warehousing strategies, relational databases, designing data schemas, data modeling, working on business intelligence initiatives, auditing implementing best practices, standards and regulations, and reporting. - Knowledge and implementing Database Security. Prefer having candidate with working experience using DB Network, Imperva Dam, or similar DB Security Appliance. - Working knowledge in Database Monitoring tools such as Fog Light, Ignite, Oracle OEM, MySQL Work Bench, or similar tools. - Skill sets in big data and Hadoop, RedShift, MongoDB, or Couch DB. - Using Dynamic Code Analysis Tools (ex. HP WebInspect, Veracode). - Using Static Code Analysis Tools (ex. HP Fortify, IBM AppScan) - Using of Vulnerability Testing solutions (ex. Nessus/ ACAS, Qualys, Nexpose). - Using QA tools (ex. HP Quality Center, JUnit, JMeter, Eclipse, and Selenium). - Ability to use infrastructure monitoring technologies (ex. Splunk, SolarWinds, Nagios). - Improving rankings through the use of content management industry best practices. - Possess mid-level experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or current platform, SQL design, SQL implementation, life-cycle maintenance of complex databases with respect to access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection, security, documentation statistical methods, Security+, and server optimization. - Database integrity and performance; SQL clustering; installing and configuring new SQL databases. - This position is designated as Information Assurance Workforce (IAWF). Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT II). See sections ******* and *******, Information Assurance Workforce, in this PWS for detailed Army and DoD guidance and requirements. Required for the IAWP: - Baseline certification: must already possess and maintain Security+ CompTIA commercial certification (or higher, such as CISSP, etc.). - Computing environment (CE) certification: must already possess and maintain CE certifications, currently: i. Windows Certification: Configuring Windows Server 2012 and Windows 10 Configuration, Active Directory (070-640), Configuring Windows Server 2012 Network Infrastructure (070-642), and Windows Server 2012, Server Administrator (070-646), Windows 10 Configuration (070-680). ii. Virtualization Certifications from VMWare.
