Compare Planet Healthcare to your current agency today as our rates beat most competitors by $5-10/hr.Job Requirements:General job duties and types of procedures required:administration of IV, oral medication, injections, transfusion of blood products, dressing changes, phlebotomy, care of fresh surgical patient, remote telemetry, assist with ambulation, turning, ADL's.Provide expert nursing care within the standard of practice as outlined by the Georgia Board of nurse examiniers for a high acuitie surgical and medical patient popluationEquipment utilized in the unit/dept:Computerized documentation, automated medication dispense system (Acudose), Deligent lift equipment, epidural pump, PCA pump, feeding pump, sequential compression device, IV pump, continous suction, Accucheck (glucometer) CernerRequired skills and minimum years of experience:IV therapy, wound care, ostomy care, ADL's, insertion of IV, foley, NGT, chest tube, telemetry. Must be a registered nurse licensed by the state of Georgia with a minimum of 2 years nursing experienceSpecific licensures and certifications/registrations required:GA Nursing License, BLS required, ACLS preferredShift or schedule requirements:everyother weekend required, employee will be assigned on floor with a nursing team to include an experienced Charge Nurse.Floating to over units/departments:May be asked to float to other med-surg departments with semilar skill set neededNurse to patient ratio of this unit:Anywhere from 1:4 to 1:6 Unit/department specific training and orientation program:Orientation to electronic documentation, use of IV pump, epidural pump, PCA pump Additional Comments:Employee must come to work as scheduled. Must sign in with cosignature from charge nurse or manager, call in must be no less than 4 hours before the start of shift, must take lunch break and not clock in more than 5 minutes before the start of your shift, leave work no more than 15 minutes after the end of scheduled shift (must provide manager with written documentation why it is necessary to stay beyond 15 minutes), must possess excellent customer service and be able to work in a stressfull/ challenging work environment as a team player.
