Eaton's Electrical Sector is currently seeking Quality Technician for Fabrication to join our team on 1st shift. This position is based at our Greenwood, SC. Note: This position is at the NEW North Hodges facility. Position OverviewThe Quality Inspector will perform a variety of specific and detailed (form, fit and function) inspection functions which are required by Customers to ensure their product meets or exceeds specifications, requiring selection of inspection equipment, methods, procedures and techniques appropriate to the product and Customer expectations.Making what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. It's where bold, bright professionals like you can reach your full potential-and where you can help us reach ours.In This Function You Will* Make certain all checklists, red tags and written process changes are complete and cleared by certified personnel signatures. * Notify area supervisors, production managers and others as required of problems in a timely manner to resolve CAR's prior to shipment due dates. * Collect defect information per product and track for appropriate long-term resolutions to CAR's.* Keep records on all defect information to establish historical database* Properly use and maintain inspection equipment.* The Inspector reviews drawings and examines structure to isolate defects and utilizes all appropriate resources such as, supervisors, production managers, engineers and product managers.* Support problem solving and continuous improvement efforts * Observe all safety and hygiene requirements as specified or directed. * Maintain a clean, orderly and safe workplace.* Verify fabrication work completion complies with the specification* Use material handling equipment to move product and supplies. May lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and push or pull up to 400 lbs. occasionally with assistance.* Inspect rejected parts having hold tags placed by Fabrication work areas to verify nonconformance. If a nonconformance exists, all items must be inspected, and corrective action taken according to established procedures.* Skills to properly utilize and maintain inspection measuring equipment.* Ability to pull drawings, isolate the part defect and notify the proper resources for resolution.All employees are expected to comply with the environment, health, and safety guidelines.When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we - as individuals and as a company - are stronger.Required (Basic) Qualifications* High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required. * Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience. * Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future* No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of (enter location) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.Preferred Qualifications* Skilled at using a computer with prior experience using the Internet, Technical Systems Platforms, Main Frame Systems and Programs and Microsoft Office tools* Prior experience using the Internet, AS 400,Microsoft Office tools and preferable WISPER.* 2 years of Low Voltage Busway experience* Prior experience working in a Quality role* Prior experience working in an electrical manufacturing facility* Ability to read and interpret drawings, measure parts, read digital and analog measuring devices, and calculate measurement variances against a specification* Ability to effectively manage resources to evaluate and resolve difficult and complex quality or structural issuesWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
