Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Trade Compliance Specialist will provide oversight and support for all aspects of the company's trade compliance program (e.g. Import, Export, FTA), ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations. The role will establish and maintain compliant processes specific to classification (import & export), licensing, technical data, auditing/reporting and recordkeeping to ensure implementation and effectiveness of internal controls. Additionally, this position is expected to advise management on trade compliance regulations, initiatives, objectives, and associated risks. A working knowledge of, and ability to apply, laws and regulations specific to Americas trade compliance is a fundamental component of this position.

Essential Functions:

* Manage 3rd party compliance (Customs Brokers, Freight Forwarders, Agents, etc.). * Respond to daily brokerage inquiries on topics such as missing trade data, ADD/CVD review, and other related trade compliance topics; Respond to internal customer trade compliance inquiries. * Mitigate duty impact (e.g., FTAs, 301 exclusions, duty drawback, etc.) * Facilitate free trade program. Including, but not limited to, contacting critical suppliers, obtaining internal data, and supporting critical FTA requests. * Review / release order holds for export control purposes in various systems (e.g. Amber Road). * Respond to Customs inquiries and penalty notices; Administer ACE account. * Conduct periodic compliance trainings; Assist in internal audits & assessments (travel may be required). * Maintain proficiency on applicable laws and regulations issued by various government agencies and translate them into business compliance best practices.

Qualifications:

* 2-3 years' experience in global trade compliance related position. * Working knowledge of Customs Regulations, OFAC, EAR/ITAR, Preference Programs, etc. * Knowledge of US and where appropriate, other non-US regimes is a plus. * Strong background in classification (import/export), FTA's, Country of origin determination, etc. * Ability to work within teams and independently with minimal supervision. * Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written. * Knowledge of Mapics, Microsoft Office and web-based compliance tools. * Customer focused, highly detail oriented, and adaptive to change.

Education/Training Required:

* Undergraduate Degree (e.g. Supply Chain, International Business, Business Administration). * Willingness to pursue further accreditations.
