Personal Home Care Administrator

Job Description:

Summary/Objective

The Personal Care Home Administrator will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the caregiving staff in this program as well as directing the day-to-day functions of the program, and assuring the highest degree of quality resident care and services are delivered and maintained. The Personal Care Administrator is also responsible for ensuring all personnel are treated fairly and consistent with company policy and applicable laws.

Essential Functions

  • Ensures that each resident receives the necessary medical and psychological services to attain and maintain the highest possible mental and physical functional status.
  • Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, maintains, monitors, supervises, and directs all Personal Care issues and overall operations including programs, activities, policies and procedures, implements changes as necessary, or makes recommendations to program management.
  • Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth and personal interest, ensuring a positive, calm environment throughout the Program.
  • Interprets and ensures compliance with all program policies and procedures by all employees, residents, families, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
  • Plans, develops, and maintains an ongoing quality assurance program.
  • Identifies problems and deficiencies in the program and develops and implements appropriate
  • Responsible for ensuring that any person working in the facility as an employee, under contract or otherwise, receives work-related training acceptable to the Department within the first sixty days of employment.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position manages the employees of the Personal Care Home and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within those teams

This job operates in personal care facility environment.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally/frequently/continuously required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. Sensory abilities required by the job include close vision and hearing.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a Full Time position, and business days and hours are as scheduled. Longer hours, evenings and weekend work will be necessary occasionally.

Travel

This position may requires up to 10% travel to attend company meetings/conferences.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Education
    1. Must have an Associate's Degree OR
    2. GED/High School diploma AND 2 years experience working in a personal care home or healthcare setting
