the FTSE 250 Index.SummaryThis position performs professional
engineering work to protect life and property through the
application of passive fire protection systems. This work includes
assessment and prediction of fire hazards or risks, mitigation of
fire damage by proper design, construction, and arrangement of
facilities, design, testing, inspection, and working with code
bodies to obtain listings. To accomplish these duties the role
requires consideration of the effects of fire on people,
structures, commodities, and the continuity of operations
identifies fire hazards and their risks, the cost of protection,
and fire safety design, interpret, and promote fire safety codes
and standards, use quantitative methods to assess aspects of fire
and fire safety, and determine and apply scientific principles and
theories of fire phenomena. LocationThis position is a remote role
within the US. Must be within a 100 mile radius to a major airport.
+ Represent Morgan at related professional organization, code
groups and related events. + Promote the Company's image as
technology leader in the markets we serve by presenting papers,
holding seminars, and publishing articles. Assess risk and make
recommendations regarding warranty situations.+ Using sound
engineering, recommend the most appropriate designs for specific
applications including drawings in a timely manner+ Communicate on
a regular basis with R&D, manufacturing, Q.A., marketing,
planning, sales, customers, and with other members of the
department+ Assist in the development and implementation of
strategic marketing programs + Work with code bodies, testing
laboratories and other related institutions to test and qualify
passive fire protection systems.+ Advise architects, builders, and
other construction personnel on fire prevention equipment and
techniques, and on fire code and standard interpretation and
compliance.+ Assist R&D with the development of new systems.+
Consult with authorities to discuss safety regulations and to
recommend changes as necessary. + Develop training materials and
conduct training seminars on fire protection with internal and
external clients and Industry Professionals.+ Review designs and/or
jobsite installations to determine the most appropriate fire
protection solutions while considering all field conditions. +
Investigate and resolve complaints or failures; and make
solution-based recommendations+ Prepare and write reports detailing
specific fire prevention and protection issues, such as work
performed, revised codes or standards, and proposed review
schedules.+ Attend meetings, seminars, or conferences to present or
obtain information regarding fire prevention and protection,
representing Morgan's best interests.+ Provide ownership and
oversight of potential modifications to Nationally Recognized Test
Lab listings. + Conduct lab scale fire tests in conjunction with
lab technicians. + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent+
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel & Power Point) + Current
valid driver's license+ Able to read construction prints + Ability
to travel to visit customer sites/laboratories within the US +
Capable of working with US military contractsPreferred
Qualifications:+ BS Degree within Fire Protection + Working Auto
CAD experience+ Fire-protection related work experience or related
commercial or industrial experience + Experience with heat-flow
modeling + Formal qualification or certification in fire protection
+ Familiarity with modelling of fire protection systems+ PE
