Patient Access Specialist
Aiken Regional Medical Centers, located in Aiken, South Carolina,
is a 273-bed acute care facility providing quality healthcare to
the residents of Aiken and surrounding communities. Aiken Regional
Medical Centers has been ranked a top hospital in South Carolina by
the Carolina Center for Medical Excellence for its treatment of

Position Description:
This position is responsible for greeting, collecting and
processing all non-scheduled patients to gather the necessary
demographic information required in accordance with all regulations
and hospital policies to provide care for the patients, procure
reimbursement verification from third parties and maintain records
appropriately.
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
Associate degree in business or related major required. Equivalent
office experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a health care facility or
equivalent position.
Medical Terminology (Basic), Phone etiquette, Microsoft excel, good
mathematical skills, detail oriented. Knowledge of insurance
processing requirements (authorization, verification, terms, and
regulations), analytical skills.
