Overview The Machine Operator is responsible for the productivity for one of three guillotine machines. The machine(s) cut aluminum plates to support the offset printing industry. The daily scope of the Machine Operator position includes startup, completing daily work orders, and observing the operation to detect malfunctions of machine. Other key tasks include maintaining and inspect packaging supplies and performing quality inspections to ensure the supplies meet quality specifications. Additionally, the Machine Operator maintains records such as: production volume, product type, quality check sheets, machine check sheets, etc. Effectively works with others within the team to achieve team goals. Effectively communicates with co-workers and supervisor. Performs all additional duties as assigned by Team Coordinator or Management.The guillotine operator will "rotate" on a daily basis to the re-cut packer/transporter in support of the ergonomic program, which was established through the job task analyses performed.The Re-cut Packing/Transport Associate supports the Machine operator in the re-cut operation. This position will inspect the forklift prior to use. This position is responsible in transporting all raw materials, pallets, and supplies and delivering them to the proper guillotine machine. Also, this position provides product verification, and works alongside the guillotine operator by packaging, taping, gluing and labeling per the work order. Additionally, this position performs housekeeping, aluminum scrap waste process, and assisting guillotine operator with blade changes. External US Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Clean bed of cutting device, side and back gauges, and clamp.
• Receive work order from pallet and retrieve pallet from staging area (task completed using forklift).
• Download program from Recut Work Order List. Confirm the correct move ticket has been downloaded by verifying the move ticket matches the job queue on micro-cut.
• Unload bundles on the air table (task is done manually by pulling bundles off the pallet and onto the air table).
• Verify size, quantity and grain.
• Burr Check (cut sample and check roughness).
• Measure top stack of first and last cut stack in the work order and document.
• Bang, turn, rotate plates until all sides are cut (bundles can weigh up to 250-300lbs).
• Create Labels for production orders using SAP.
• Extended / Change material dates as needed using SAP.
• QIC cut and enter information.
• Change blade in the cutting device.
• 8-hour shifts - with potential rotation - 2nd shift during peak workload.
• Overtime when required.
• Consistently meet quality and production standards.Required Skills/Education:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum six months working in a Manufacturing/Warehousing process or equivalent experience.
  • Basic math and computations.
  • Solid computer skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain forklift certification.Desired Skills:
    • Advanced computer skills (i.e. excel/pivot tables, creating and editing spreadsheets, word etc.).
