We also provide analytics that combine clinical knowledge with big data technology and techniques to transform petabytes of data into meaningful solutions for our customers.The Engineer/Scientist 4 candidate will be part of a larger team providing support to the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic Defense Health Enterprise Application and Desktop Virtualization Team. The contract provides engineering support for all aspects of Enterprise Server and Application Virtualization technologies in support of the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and Veterans Affairs (VA) medical and administrative applications; to include continued support for each organization's major/current Electronic Health Records (EHRs). Major technologies supported are:* Type-1 hypervisors to include:* VMWare ESXi* Microsoft Hyper-V* Storage technologies to include:* Dell EMC Unity* Dell EMC Elastic Cloud Storage (ECS)* NetApp* Enterprise backup and restoration technologies to include:* CommVault Simpana/Intellisnap* NetApp SnapMirror* NetApp OnTap Select and CloudVolumes* Veeam Backup and Replication* Application streaming/layering/isolation technologies to include:* Citrix App Layering* Microsoft App-V* VMware AppVolumes * VMWare ThinApp* Application presentation technologies to include:* Citrix Virtual Apps (previously XenApp)* Desktop Virtualization using Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Published Desktop Technologies to include: * VMWare View/Horizon* Citrix Provisioning Server* Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (formerly XenApp and XenDesktop)* Amazon WorkspacesQualificationsExperience RequirementsTen (10) years of experience in Microsoft Server Operation Systems or Linux Operation Systems in support of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) requirements to include:* Systems /Equipment Support* Test & Evaluation Support* Minimum of six (6) years of technical experience in support for VMWare and Citrix projectsEducationBS Degree in Engineering, Physics, Network Security, Information Systems or Computer ScienceCertificationsCertified in any of the virtualization COTS products including but not limited to:* Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD)* Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD)* Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)* Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)* Sun Certified Professional (SCP)* Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP)* CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP)* Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)* Citrix Certified Associate (CCA)* VMWare Certified Professional (VCP)CitizenshipUS CitizenClearanceDOD SECRET or higher; Or the ability to obtain the clearance.
